July 11th (with pictures!)

July 11th 2:48pm

Yeah, so it has been awhile. Let us start at the beginning, a very good place to start.

7-7-12 - Mariah (a friend from church who is here for a mission trip) got there, I saw her and her parents while I was serving pb&j. We served Cici's Pizza for dinner. Nothing else interesting.

7-8-12 - Went to work and they ran out of food, so me and Rachel S. ate in the caf, and then we talked for
like an hour and a half. For dinner, we served chicken Express, and they ran out of food again, so we just at pb&j sandwiches.

7-9-12 - I went to work, they ran out of food, so me and Rachel S. ate in the caf, and then we talked for like 2 hours, and then left the caf and went to sit outside. And then we sat outside for another 2 hours. (We watched the Prayer Tree get cut down) Desiree joined, and then Aimee,

and then Desiree left, and then Michael (a co-worker) joined our group, then we all dispersed. I visited with Emily, we went to see if the Java Hut was open (it wasn't), so we went back to the caf and I hung out with her and a few of her friends for about 20 minutes, then I went to work.

After work, I helped make 976 pb&j sandwiches with 14 people. It took us about 2 hours to finish. I bagged the sandwiches, while others made them. We were going so fast it was crazy. Then I made a video, and Jason (a co-worker) sang into it. Then me and Rachel S. perused the gift shop, and we both bought a shirt. Then I went to bed.

7-10-12 - I went to work, we cleaned, then we proceeded to have team time, and watched "The Father of Lights", which is a documentary of God's miracles. And then a few of us went to Wal-Mart. Rachel S. came with us. And we walked around Wal-Mart for over an hour. We came

across the craft section, which happens to be both of our weakness, and we bought embroidery floss to make friendship bracelets (little did she or I know that this would be the foundation of several more friendships). We arrived back on campus, and I went to my dorm. J.R., one of the

volunteers, apparently ate mushroom (accidently) which she is allergic to, and was having an awful time breathing. She called out (I was the only one in the room), and I went to her. She told me to call Jordan, that she needed to go to the hospital. I was silently panicking. Emily and yet

another Rachel came into the room, and Emily took over. She sang, prayed, helped J.R. Jeanine came in, and we all prayed over J.R. Jordan(finally!) came and took her to the hospital. I cried. I never had gone through anything like that, and I think I was just in shock. It was

terrifying. Emily, the other Rachel, and I talked about missions. Rachel came as a missionary, and was supposed to go to India, but an hour before the bus was to depart, she received a call saying that her visa didn't go through. So now she had to go back home. She said it was pretty tough. I could tell that her heart was broken. She went home this morning.

7-11-12 - This is my free day, the first of 7. I decided not to go home this time because I had made some friends. Today is also free Slurpee day at 7/11. So I pretty much have been laying in my bed crocheting. I was supposed to go to lunch with Rachel S., but she wasn't

ready in time. So we will go to dinner. She and I bought thread to make friendship bracelets. Also, mom is coming tomorrow to take me out to lunch. Also, ccm (Center for Creative Media) people moved into our dorm for a week long workshop. So yeah...
