Another delightful day at Teen Mania. We went to serve lunch. So I got there, and there was no food, but we were getting everything ready for Chicken Express (they order out food a lot for the campers). The van pulled in, we unloaded. Sandwiches. Turkey and cheese sandwiches.
That was not was Zach (my supervisor) had in mind, but really? What could we do? So we put everything away we pulled out for Chicken Express, and prepared for what we needed for the sandwiches. We only had about 15 minutes until lunch would be served, but we were ready.
So while we are waiting to start serving, one of my co-workers gets a text that say "We just got to Chicken Express, picking up the food." We already had everything ready for the sandwiches, but Zach told us to put everything away, and pull everything back out that we needed for
Chicken Express. By now, there is quite a line of campers, patiently (somewhat) waiting for their food. We waited about 15 minutes for the Chicken Express to arrive. I could sense annoyance in the crowd. Several people came up and asked what was taking so long. FINALLY.
The food arrives! Everyone in line shouted and clapped for joy. After we get all of the food sorted out, we begin serving. I was partnered up with Jason. He served mashed potatoes, I served the gravy and biscuits. Jason is giving out heaping spoonfuls (with a big serving spoon).
After about half of the bucket is gone, he gets the news that that was all the potatoes they had left, and we still had to serve hundreds more campers. After the potatoes were gone, he gave out potato chips. Several people were annoyed and disappointed...Even though a lot of
bad happened, it still turned out to be a pretty good day. We still have dinner to do though. So yeah, that is just one day in the life of a summer volunteer :) Group 1 Crew will be here tonight. Actually they might be here right now having a sound check. I think they have some shirts
and CDs for sale. I might get a shirt. I found a quiet place that I like to hangout at. It has to be after the sun sets, otherwise it would be too hot, because it is on a patio outside the caf (cafeteria). After session is over, I will probably go there to call mom, and then Group 1 Crew is on at 10!...3:00pm

11:07pm...Just got back from seeing Group 1 Crew! They were good! They played my song (Breakdown) and that made me happy :) I called mom, and I had awful reception. I called her like 4 times, and she called me about 3 times. Today was my last full day of work. I go in tomorrow
for lunch, and then I am off until Wednesday. Today is Thursday. So I will have half of Friday, all day Saturday, all day Sunday, all day Monday, and all day Tuesday off. So I might possibly go home, which I am kind of
leaning towards. But we will see. I am going to talk to Jordan tomorrow and ask and stuff. Hopefully he won't be gone too. Otherwise I will try calling him...oh yeah, I got a Group 1 Crew shirt :)
